I'm John Selby, the founder and photographer behind Bucks Photo. With over 20 years of experience specialising in commercial photography, I’ve made it my mission to help brands bring their products, places, and ideas to life through clean, vibrant, and technically precise imagery.
Before launching my own studio, I spent years honing my craft at one of the UK's most respected repro houses – where I learned the art of colour separation, retouching, and image manipulation to an exacting standard. Since then, I’ve created thousands of images for everything from fashion and cosmetics to interiors, food, jewellery and industrial products—for brochures, magazines, catalogues and ecommerce.
Along the way, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many fantastic clients, including Harrods, Penhaligons, Laithwaites Wine, Thorntons, Debenhams, The White Company, Selfridges, Elemis, and Uniqlo, as well as a wide range of agencies, retailers, and independent businesses.
At Bucks Photo, I offer a complete, end-to-end photography service – from styling and shooting through to colour management and final retouching. Whether you're a solo business owner or part of a creative team, I can help produce high-quality photography tailored to your brand and your budget.
Based near Buckingham, I work both in-studio and on location, regularly covering Milton Keynes, Northampton, Oxford, Banbury, Bedford, Leighton Buzzard – and London when needed.
